Wow Tedit 3.2.0 looks better, and it loads faster! I was very happy with 3.1, good job with 3.2. Excellent.

I downloaded TEdit to give my world a snow biome, the problem I ran into was when I tried to load the map it wouldn't load it because it had custom tiles because of a mod. I just wanted to make a suggestion, couldn't you make TEdit that when it encounters an unknown tile the it just ignores it and still loads the map. This way people can still use TEdit with maps that have custom ore and such?

Unfortunately this is not a viable option as tiles change the format of the save file. If you know the ID of the tiles and the Framed (sprite/furniture) status you can manually add it to the settings.xml, and it might load.

I've tried this like it says, if I add it above the dirt tile code I get an error saying Unknown tile 0, if I add it at the bottom it acts as if i didn't add anything. Want me to paste the code just in case I'm doing it wrong?

I think this is mod territory.

This bug seems to come up when it can't load textures (missing files, old versions, etc.). I'll try and get a fix for it before too long.

Yeah, I made a thread, but no one really helped.
        It wasn't that helpful.

Hey, I've been having this weird problem. Whenever I load TEdit, it locks up within 30 seconds. Sorry I can't give much details, but there is no error message or anything. Is it possible if you can give me a solution to fix this? I do not know if it's me or the program that is doing it. Thanks, gamefreek24

If you have a log.txt that would be helpful. If it is simply slow, check Windows Task Manger for CPU and memory usage for TEdit and any other programs that could be using the CPU.

I downloaded the latest version and it works perfectly, however may I suggest adding a feature where you can Flip and Rotate schematics when you paste them?
If you do, that would make Symmetric builds a little easier.
If it does have that feature, can you tell me how?
      I would really appreciate it.
Thanks again for making and keeping this software free.

This feature doesn't exist currently, but if you export the schematic as a false-color image you could do this operation in any image editor, then resave the schematic and import it. Keep in mind this will only work for basic tiles, walls, liquid and wires. Any sprites, chests and signs will be lost.

I'm having a "mouse related" problem with Tedit 3. The block placer gets farther away from my mouse the further the mouse gets from the top left corner of the Tedit screen.

ex; My mouse is in the top left, and the block placer is accurate. But when the mouse is centered on the screen the block placer moves right and down... by maybe 20 mouse lengths. (for lack of a consistent reference)

Hello, I was wondering is there any way to get the last version of TEdit3 that was compatible for 1.1.1. I still like using inventory editor and tShock and they are mostly still compatible with 1.1.1. Thanks for the awesome program btw.

I don't have any compiled versions, but you could probably pull the source from pre-1.1.2 and compile it.

TEdit only saves in the latest format (e.g. 1.1.2), they are not backward compatible with 1.1.1.

My number 1 most requested feature: the ability to place individual enemies like we can place items and stop random enemy generation.

Is this possible? Can Tedit do this in the future? It is the only thing left that is really stopping us from creating truly unique and amazing game challenges.
      1. BinaryConstruct
        BinaryConstruct
I think this is reaching into Mod territory, as enemies spawn based on biome and depth.

Great application but I'm having a world of troubles with it.

I can't edit chest contents, I try to click and it only responds to a right click, then when I try to change something every single box is filled with the same thing, and the chest is reset when I leave the menu.

I have some questions and some constructive criticism for Tedit:

Is it possible to get the program to display textures? Or do I have to continue to put up with these poo coloured squares?

You should consider adding a palette that displays your most recently placed block types, as well as a 'Colour Picker' like in Paint. Also, a font that doesn't hurt your eyes would be nice.

      Other than that, nice work.

Thanks! However, since it uses media from Terraria, I don't feel comfortable distributing it. Also, it could be a bit hard to read at 32x32 pixels.

i have searched through the entire folder, i have found no application to run TEdit! did you forget to put it in the download?
there was a file called app, but all it did was open up a Firefox window that had no directory.
