Hmmmm, I know how the entrance would go, but how can you get rid of water? As far as I know after a certain patch when you fill water up with blocks, it will still be there when you take them away.

You mostly just have to use pumps, but you can also use a Buildaria or tedit to remove the water if you wish to do it externally. If you place blocks underwater where you wish to remove the water and then exit out of the world and return, then when you return the water will be gone when you remove the blocks.

Ah! Thank you for that! Had no idea you had to leave the world and come back for it to work.

I never played that one, just the NES version. I would love to see a remake, something overhead and simple.

Avoid it like the plague.
They changed the story, the music, altered the color palette and sucked most of the essence from the original that made it fun.

Oh don't worry. I know to avoid that specific remake, I was talking about something entirely new. I really liked the Megaman style charge mechanic, for example. The game had favorable features.
