hey i play the pc version with my friend, and we love it. We are certainly getting the console version for the new content, but the trouble is he has PS3 and i have an Xbox. I don't know what it takes, but are you considering the possibilities of the two networks to play together?
Those possibilities need to exist before they can consider them. Microsoft won't even get in bed with allies, let alone rivals.
All we can say is that it will definitely have multiplayer and we'll announce more details about it closer to launch. Stay tuned!
I've seen cross-platform with PS3 and PC (Unreal Tournament III, DUST514/EVE, etc), but I don't think Xbox and Ps3 will ever go cross-platform. TUN3R said (above) that it won't happen and she's right. It's unfortunate, 'cause I have many friends who are Xbox-only whereas I am a PS3 player. There's a part of me that always hopes, however. How foolish of me.
