Game Launcher will not install properly

The game launcher does not install properly and says this on the log for the game launcher
9:34:38 PM Installing GameLauncher GUI Version...

9:34:38 PM Error: Could not locate your original Terraria build
May you use a newer version? Check updates.
Also make sure you run this file from within your terraria directory '...\Steam\SteamApps\common\terraria\'

Because of this i cannot download the tconfig.

Because I don't like gamelauncher I rename the tconfig.exe to terraria and launch it through steam

lol you can do that? Thanks for the quick answer. But i thought you needed game launcher in order for tconfig to download though
