I spent the last few days updating the lighting system to allow light based on RGB values. It's still pretty rough right now, but I think it is looking pretty good so far. There might be a small performance hit, so it is of course going to be an optional setting. New Lighting: Old Lighting: I think the next thing I want to add is a gem + torch recipe to make colored lights. Have a great weekend everyone! Edit (Again): I replaced the original example pictures with a newer version. The old images can be found here: http://www.terraria.org/junk/light-a1.png http://www.terraria.org/junk/light-a2.png http://www.terraria.org/junk/light-b1.png http://www.terraria.org/junk/light-b2.png http://www.terraria.org/junk/lighta.png http://www.terraria.org/junk/lightb.png
Damn, that light is looking sweet! I love all of the atmospheric things you keep adding, it just makes the game so much nicer.
I don't like it very much. For the space gun it looks lush, but like you said, it's rough! I hope you can change the RGB differences too.
That is just magnificent! It is sure rough but as long as it permit me to create a light based double rainbow, It is awesome! (aahhhhhhhhahahdoublerainbowooooowoo)
YES!! Different coloured lights is something I really wanted xD Any estimation when abouts it will be released? week wise?
ME WANTZ UPDATE.Seriously though it is awsome i cant wait for the update it is going to be a game changer!
Now thats an awesome update. I love the content, but I always felt like you could do alot more with the lighting. I think you are gonna get alot of mileage out of this effect!
Yes yes yes. I want to make a pretty colorful house. My nurse and Dryad shall live in a district of my red-lighted hou- what.
That actually sounds and looks really cool! Is this a feature that'll be in 1.1 or a later patch? Edit; On second thought, it might have to be toned down quite a bit if torches let off a yellow tone. That stone looks like a bunch of different colored ores. I'm a bit color blind and have trouble telling silver and iron apart, unless they're right next to each other. Don't get me wrong, I like it, it just really needs to be done right or all the stone will look like colored ores....
