"Old" member coming back, what have i missed?

i gradually stopped coming here around the time that the Developers denounced the further developing of terraria, i missed the community. what have i missed

So it's been a year since you were last on here? oh god this will need a lot of explaining to do :S

The community started to grow smaller, which was a good thing in a way as it was mainly the intellectual members left, which meant that community interaction was nice.

We had quite a fierce spambot attack, but we valiantly fought back until they are few and far between.

Quite a few community projects died. That is to say, the Terrarian Times and Creation Compundrium (which I have actually restarted, if you look in the Player Creations Section) stopped.

Many migrated over to Starbound forums; we got a tiny bit of word of the cold war between USBF and OSBF.

DrSonic12 was permabanned, sadly.

But all in all, I think the community was better post-Terraria update. I'm fine with new updates or no updates, but I don't know how the big increase of returners/ new people is going to affect anything.

Also, what happens when Red stops updating again? We'll have another "My Fellow Terrarians" which would probably not end well at all. So I just hope this is the last update, and leave it at that.

Dr. Sonic was banned for links to rule 34 of the internet, and Mr. Bear was banned by having pornography in his avatar.

Oh, don't worry, Bear is still around, as notmrbear is his fifth account I believe. None of the mods really mind, except for Kira, who has banned him every time. xD

Lots of people are making mods for Terraria now (not that they weren't before), still mainly involving Tconfig.
Terraria will be on console soon, and we know it has killer whales and plenty of recolors.
Various members get appreciated once a month now.
People here and there all seemed get into new games and communities, and we talk about them back here (Mainly Starbound, that other Starbound forum, a bit of Cube World, and some Don't Starve (I'm looking at you Stackerz >.>)).
Stackerz started his amazing art thread that you simply must check out.
There was a Terraria meme competition.
And some other stuff here and there.
