NOTE: Scroll down. There are many sprites that couldn't fit into just one put that I have edited into my replies to other people. Well, after helping work on both the extrabiomes mod and the Terraria Continued mod, I started to find the sprites I was making didn't fit into the extrabiomes mod and Terraria Continued had gone silent at the time, so I decided to put all my publicly available sprites into one thread. Please post a link to your mod and ask permission before using. (although in most cases I won't mind in the least.) NOTE: This thread is currently being reorganized. If you can't find something, be patient. Hardmode Desert (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Hardmode Desert (open) Hardmode Desert (close) Antlion Drone. Does hardmode level of damage and shoots sand in giant sprays of 5-10, however it shoots slower than normal antlions. Sand Worm Destroys 5 sand blocks when it enters the ground (if it is on sand) and launches 5 sand blocks if it exits the ground on sand. Corrupted antlion. Shoots ebonsand. Does low damage (for hardmode) but has normal health (for hardmode). Corrupted Vulture. Has low health (for hardmode) but does normal damage (for hardmode). When it dies, it launches 3-5 gravity-effected Corrupter projectiles (so they will spread the corruption a lot if you kill them near the edge) Corrupted Antlion Drone. Huh. Ebonsand Worm. Or, Corrupted Sand Worm. Corrupted antlion Scavenger. He runs around breaking cacti every now and then. when he sees you he will spit 5 sand at you, rapid fire, and run away. When you get too close, he will do melee attack and do high damage. I did make a normal scavenger, but normal scavengers are not for hardmode. Scorpion. He just sits there looking like sand untill you step on him. Then he is ANGRY! He poisons you with Scorpion Sting.(Buff image to come later) Then he runs away. At night all the scorpions run away. They are replaced with Night Scorpions. They don't stand still; they scurry all around the desert at top speed! They ignore you unless they touch you (or vice versa) and then they will follow you pinching you and stinging you. These are just corrupted scorpions. with the night variation. Hallowed Scorpions with the night variation. Okay, I think you can figure this one out for yourself Like corrupted antlions, they have low damage for hardmode, but normal health (for hardmode) and this one..... Hallowed Vultures! The Hallow has always seemed to be less invasive than the corruption, so these guys don't spread hallow when they die. Instead, they spawn 1-5 pixies. Like Corrupted Vultures, they have low health for hardmode units, but normal damage (for hardmode). And killing them will make more trouble for yourself. Hallowed worm. Planned Sprites (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Planned Sprites (open) Planned Sprites (close) If you like the sound of anything on this list, just tell me and I will try to give it top priority. If you remember seeing a good sprite but it is gone now, that is because I am reorganizing the thread. Just tell me and I will add it back. -Hardmode Ocean- Tiger Sharks Sawfish Hammerhead Sharks ----Hardmode Corrupted Ocean---- Corrupted Hammerhead Sharks Corrupted Sawfish Corrupted Tiger Sharks Corrupted Angler Fish ----Hardmode Hallowed Ocean---- Hallowed Sharks Hallowed Jellyfish Hallowed Tiger Sharks Hallowed Crabs Hallowed Sawfish Hallowed Hammerhead Sharks Hallowed Angler Fish ----Hardmode Hallowed Desert---- Hallowed Antlion Hallowed Vulture Hallowed Sand Worm Hallowed Antlion Scavenger Hallowed Antlion Drone ----Hardmode Jungle---- Giant Jungle Bat Jungle Mummy ----Hardmode Corrupted Jungle---- Corrupted Giant Jungle Bat Corrupted Mosquito Corrupted Sludge Corrupted Eater of Men Corrupted Piranha ----Hardmode Hallowed Jungle---- Hallowed Jungle Bat Hallowed Giant Jungle Bat Hallowed Hornet Hallowed Mosquito Hallowed Sludge Hallowed Man Eater & Snatcher Hallowed Eater of Men Hallowed Piranha ----Hallow---- Wisp Hex (non hardmode pixie, the corruption gets non hardmode enemies so why not hallow?) Pegasus Some sort of non hardmode gastropod (not sure what to call it) ----Bosses---- Gastrosaur (must be summoned in the hallow, giant gastropod, non hardmode) The Gunner (hardmode gastrosaur) Giant Octopus (must be summoned in the ocean, would be a mini-boss) If you like my sprites but don't see anything useful here, check the Planned Sprites spoiler before sending me a request.
Ooo, I like them. I might make the hardmode hellbat, if you don't mind. I don't have very many hardmode Underworld enemies, so yeah. I've already got a Corrupted Hornet, though xD.
-EDIT- Due to running out of room on the main post, I have edited this one to make room for more sprites. Hardmode Jungle (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Hardmode Jungle (open) Hardmode Jungle (close) Jungle Mummy. He wanders around underground, groaning and moaning. He tries to find his way to the surface, but he chases you if he sees you along the way. He also emits leaves particles. Leaves p[articles will leave a trail, like hallowed enemies. They make the mummy look like he spent a long time down there. Jungle Sludge. They spawn underground a bit, but mostly on the surface like the original jungle slimes. Eater of men (working title) is a lot like Man Eater. They are easy to kill unless you are a melee character. But if you are, tremble... They spawn with two normal man eaters by their side, so that they look like a more matured man eater plant. Grabbers are a surface variation that do less damage and have less health. They spawn with two snatchers by their side. Giant Jungle Bats! weeee Mosquito! The top two frames are for flight, the last one is for biting. Lots of them spawn in the hardmode jungle, and they swarm around your head until there is at least 5 of them. Then they all bite you, which does no damage but it gives you the bleeding and poisoned debuffs. Then they run away, until 1 minute has passed, and then they start to cluster around your head again. Their main strength lies in the fact that they are really hard to see. Now for the Corrupted Jungle!!! Corrupted man eater and snatcher Corrupt Eater of Men and Grabber, spawns with two of the above next to it corrupted giant jungle bat corrupted normal jungle bat corrupted pirhana!!(!) Corrupted ANGLER FISH!! Corrupted jungle mummy. You might just want to use the dark mummy but i like this better for the corrupted jungle. And there is his particle sheet Corrupted Jungle Sludge! Again, you might want to replace him with the Corrupt Slime, but I like the variety. And here is corruption, growing on mud. Perfect for jungles!!! Now for the hallow. Hallowed hornet. Leaves a glowing trail, like some other hallow enemies. Ooh, spooky!! .. i guess If you don't know the drill for these guys by now, you probably never will. So instead of telling you what they do, I will tell you why I won't tell you what they do. hallowed JUNGLE BAT! Does NOT leave a glowing trail. These little buggers are hallowed giant jungle bats. They look exactly like illuminant bats, but they leave no trail. And these guys DO leave a trail!! How weird is that? Or maybe they don't. I don't care. These guys are different from light mummies because of A. Their color. They look like hallowed grass. B. They have vines on them. C. They have particles coming off of them. Pirhana Angler fish Tiles. Yay! That's it for the jungle, I think.
Could I also do the Dungeon Protector? I'd like to rename it to Protector Wheel, though. I think the AI should be easy enough...
Dayum just saw this. So many awesome sprites in here man, should work on some of the npc animation sprites and ill add them
The main thread has 50 sprites, which means I can't put any more there. Check back on this post (as well as the original) for more sprites!! Full Sets (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Full Sets (open) Full Sets (close) Necro Sword. Why isn't there a full necro set?? Necro Bow. Has very high knockback, for a bow. Necro Spear. The idea is that each item set has either a shortsword (which I recommend changing them so they work more like chainsaws to make them useful) or a spear. Here is the real length. Necro Mattock. Kinda slow for a mid-game tool, but it is a hammer/axe/pick all rolled into one, which makes it more useful. Necro flail. I also thought each set would have a craftable flail. (I will come up with something else for shadow chests and shadow orbs) Here is the chain for the necro flail. And here is the head: large, but no spikes Meteor Set Someone has already made a meteor pick, and I wanted to be original. Phase rods. (Meteor Short Swords) Phase Disrupters. And here are the actual heads: They use the chain for the harpoon. It doesn't need a bow; the space gun counts as a ranged weapon.
Go right ahead. In fact I'm pretty sure everything I put in this thread can be used for both Terraria Continued and Avalon. All of these are available for Avalon and Terraria Continued with no permission required. Which ones are used and which ones are not is entirely up to the creators of those respective mods. If you want to use these sprites for your own mod, just send me a link to the mod and ask permission, and in most cases I will give you the okay. -EDIT- Weapons (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Weapons (open) Weapons (close) Technically, I have other spriting projects I am supposed to be working on, but this was nagging at the back of my mind for a while and i wanted to get it done. Cartridge Gun! With a total of 15 cartridges, it is a very versatile weapon! The top three cartridges are, from left to right: Seed Cartridge: Creates grass. Grass on dirt, corupted grass in the corruption, hallowed grass in the hallow. Creates jungle grass on mud, unless you are underground and not in the jungle. Then it makes mushroom grass. Next in line is Cursed Fire Cartridge. It shoots cursed flames, like the flamethrower, only shorter range. The last cartridge in the top row is: Dart cartridge. It shoots darts, with a 5% chance of being a poison dart. Moving down a row, we have: Smoke Cartridge. It makes a smoke cloud that just hangs around. When standing in a smoke cloud, you get the Smokey buff, which makes you invisible to enemies. It only lasts till you walk out, however. Then there is: Ice cartridge. These are hard to get without a snowy world. They shoot ice shards, with a chance to slow enemies or even freeze them. Next in line, is: Water cartridge. this sprays 1 blocks worth of water around. It's like an upgraded bucket. In the next row we have: Red plasma Cartridge. It shoots a ball of red plasma (the strongest kind) bouncing around like flower of fire. Plasma can poison enemies, as well as confusing them. Red plasma has very high knockback. Then, there is Crystal Cartridge. It shoots crystal shards, that work like ice shards except faster, longer range, and they bounce when they hit the wall. And Lava cartridge. This sprays 1 blocks worth of lava everywhere. unless you are careful, it will just disappear, but even if it does, it will still do massive damage. Like water, it can also serve as an upgraded bucket. In the second to bottom row, we have: Blue Plasma cartridge. The weakest plasma, this isn't very useful except that is can confuse, slow, and poison enemies. It has no knockback. Then there is the Sand Cartridge. It shoots sand. It does less damage then sandgun, so the only reason you would want it is if you already had a Cartridge Gun. Finally, we have the Inferno Fire Cartridge. It shoots fire like a flamethrower, only not as long distance. It makes much more light, does high damage, and will inflict the Inferno Blaze debuff. The inferno blaze debuff does more damage than cursed inferno, and although it can be put out, the first time you jump in the water, you will be given the On Fire! debuff, meaning you have to double dunk yourself in order to really be put out. Then we have the bottom row. It has: Shrapnel Cartridge. It shoots a mix of spikey balls and musket balls. Next is the Green Plasma Cartridge. The middle ground between red and blue, green does some knockback and reasonable damage, as well as inflicting the standard debuffs. Lastly, the Fire Cartridge. This shoots fire, although not as far or as damaging as the flamethrower. Crafting is as follows: (all recipes make 5) Cartridge: 1 wire, 5 iron. Seed C. 5 cartridges, 1 Grass Seeds, 1 Corrupt Seeds, 1 Hallowed Seeds, 1 Mushroom Grass Seeds, 1 Jungle Grass Seeds. Cursed Fire C. 5 cartridges, 1 cursed flame. Dart C. 5 cartridges, 5 spikes, 5 wood. Smoke C. Can be bought from the arms dealer on blood moons. Ice C. 5 cartridges, 5 snow. (crafted at water instead of anvil) Water C. Use an empty cartridge on a block of water. (this way it will actually remove a water block) Red Plasma C. 5 cartridges, 5 inferno flames (dropped by some hardmode underworld enemies that I plan to make) 5 meteorite ore, 1 fallen star, 1 vile powder. Crystal C. 5 cartridges, 1 crystal shard, 5 glass. Lava C. Use an empty cartridge on a block of lava Blue Plasma C. 5 Cartridges, 5 gel, 5 meteorite ore, 1 fallen star, 1 vile powder. Sand C. 5 cartridges, 5 sand. Inferno Fire C. 5 cartridges, 1 inferno flame Shrapnel C. 5 cartridges, 5 musket balls, 5 spikey balls. Green Plasma C. 5 cartridges, 5 cursed flames, 5 meteorite ore, 1 fallen star, 1 vile powder. Fire Cartridge: 5 cartridges, 1 gel. When you shoot the cartridge gun, it shows whatever cartridge you are shooting hooked up to the gun. The iron cartridge gun is made from: 25 iron bars 5 wood 1 illegal gun parts 1 inlet pump 1 outlet pump. The golden cartridge gun (required to shoot Plasma cartridges, cursed & inferno fire cartridges, and lava cartridges ) is made from a cartridge gun, 1 more illegal gun parts, and 5 souls of might. Whoosh. That was a lot of words!
Cheers bud. I added some new information and requests to the Terraria Continued thread if you wanna go have a look Thanks yet again man, so happy that you stayed here this whole time and waited patiently for my return<3
Quite amazing, could you give me an estimate of how long it took to make these sprites, how much experience do you have with spriting and what program(s) do you use?
How long it took to make these sprites, I am not sure. Certainly not very long for each sprite, thanks to my image editing program. The sprites that took me the longest are not on this thread as they were made only for the ExtraBiomes mod. How much experience I have.... That all depends on your baseline. In my opinion I have "a little". My spriting "career" started with Terraria Continued but most of those sprites were pretty much recolors. I also helped with ExtraBiomes, but in my opinion that is where I made all my worst sprites. I also made an armor set for Avalon. I use the XNB exporter to get my source images and Corel Paintshop Pro x4 to do my image editing. Does that answer your question?
Corel Paintshop ? Never even heard of that man. You should look into getting Photoshop, its really good and has so many possibilities, but whatever works, are quite awesome! On a un-related note at some point would you be able to remove your first post in the Terraria Continued thread. I'm at my limit for images and my post is second on there. If you don't want to remove it i'm fine with that. I could try talking to a moderator or something to try and get some of my posts moved up so you don't have to actually delete it but i can still have some reserved spots, don't know if they will actually allow that though(Or if it's even possible). I guess what i'm asking is if I can't get a mod to help me out would you be willing to delete the post?
My brother has photoshop, although he used to use Paintshop. Paintshop seems to work fine for me and I would have to learn how to use photoshop. But Photoshop does seem to be more powerful than Paintshop, by far. If you have all the sprites from my first post in your mod, then I will be happy to delete it if that's what you want.
Ah, but there is a necro set. Dungeon . Though of course, there isn't a full set of that... So carry on :3.
