Couple of things. You can read a float from a BinaryReader using ReadSingle(). Also, you should probably use the code from my Aircraft mod over the code you looked at in Kain. It's set up to work in multiplayer, whereas Kain's isn't. Other than that, the rainbow trail is pretty cool, good work.
