DeathCradle and I have developed another port of Terraria to Linux/Mono, this one with 1.1.2 support. This is basically the same thing as what can be found here, but updated to be for Terraria 1.1.2, and with support for hosting games. Installation instructions: Get the game via Steam (in wine).. Make a new directory. I'll assume it's ~/Terraria. Copy the directory Steam/steamapps/common/terraria/Content and copy it to ~/Terraria. You can usually find Steam in "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files", but you may have installed it elsewhere. ( Download linaria.zip and extract it into ~/Terraria. Make sure you have a recent-ish version of Mono installed. The game is built on 2.10 -- if you get it to run on anything older, tell us and we'll add it here. Change directory into ~/Terraria and run mono Terraria.exe. If you want music to work, follow the instructions in the old thread; there have been no complaints about sound. There have been issues with the music, and it's being looked into. Questions, bug reports, suggestions, etc. are very welcome.
