Monsters Electric Eel Type: Fish Environment: Surface Jungle (Water) Max Life: 35 Damage: 30 Defense: 3 Speed: Average Drops: Rubber Boots (Very Rare) *Follows the same AI as other waterborn monsters. Seek the player if he or she lands in the water. *If it touches the player or is attacked by a close-range weapon, the player will get zapped. (See Aethetic Changes for more info) *Obviously, it's best to use range weapons like arrows to take it out. Crocodile Type: Reptile Environment: Surface Jungle (Water) Max Life: 200 Damage: 30 Defense: 3 Speed: Fast Drops: Croc Skin (Always), Crocodile Tears (Uncommon) *Meet the inland version of the shark, the crocodile. Unlike sharks, crocodiles can get out of the water and onto land to bite your silly head off. *A crocodile has a unique attack that can allow it to leap out of the water towards a player if he or she is above the crocodile. This is only performed if the player is within 3 blocks of the water's surface. *Instead of having knockback, crocodiles "pull" the player with them backwards. This makes it more dangerous to confront them as they can pull a player to their doom. *Color 1 (Above) is the greener depiction of a crocodile. Color 2 (Below) is the accurate coloring and is also my favorite outta the two. Hammerhead Shark Type: Fish Environment: Ocean Max Life: 300 Damage: 40 Defense: 3 Speed: Fast Drops: Shark Fin (Always), Throwable Hammer (Uncommon), Diving Helmet (Very Rare) *Just a slight edit of the pre-existing shark. Only it drops hammers! Rat & Hell Rat Type: Rat Environment: Overworld, Underground / Underworld Max Life: 1 / 3 Damage: 1 / 3 Defense: 1 Speed: Very Fast Drops: N/A *Think of these as bats, but insanely weaker. *Rats cannot cause knockback, but appear in swarms occasionally. Despite the low attack, rats grouped together can accumulate damage. *Hell Rats glow like most Underworld monsters. *Rats swim at the surface of bodies of water, while Hell Rats can swim in lava surfaces. Rats die like other monsters in lava while Hell Rats succumb to death in normal water. *Rats can spawn in your house in depths below 0ft, underground. Giant Scorpion Type: Insect Environment: Desert Max Life: 60 (Body), 50 (Stinger) Damage: 16 (Melee), 22 (Stinger) Defense: 1 (Body), 8 (Stinger) Speed: Average Drops: Scorpion Stinger (Always if Stinger is killed, 50% if not.) *Scorpions use two different methods of attack. Either it uses its stinger to stab and possibly poison its target, or just touch the player like normal enemies. *Note: The Giant Scorpion will pause for a moment before striking with its stinger, giving enough time to retaliate. *At night, a scorpion's eyes glow and emit a small amount of light. *(Left) Original coloring. (Right) A more poison-esque coloring. Bone Fish Type: Undead Environment: Underworld Max Life: 35 Damage: 30 Defense: 2 Speed: Fast Drops: (?) *With the removal of water in the Underworld, Goldfish and Piranhas alike cannot exist down there. However, that doesn't stop this undead relative to thrive in the lava lakes below... *You may ask, why would there be fish in lava (magma) lakes when lava can kill you immediately? Well, with the introduction of the Obsidian Skin Potion in 1.0.5., you can now swim in lava without fear of boiling to a crisp. This just leaves one threat left for you in the glowing fire: Bone Fish, ever so hungry Bone Fish. *If these things dropped anything, it would be roasted by the lava in a nano second. That doesn't say it doesn't drop anything however... *These fish swim in schools, and assault the player in a feeding frenzy method of attacking. Be careful! *Don't ya feel bad now for slaying all those Piranhas in the Surface Jungle? Hitodama Type: Undead / Flying Environment: Varies (Spawns within a few feet of a Tombstone.) Max Life: 40 Damage: 25 Defense: 1 Speed: Slow Drops: (?) *Hitodama spawn during the night time near your tombstones and vanish when the sun rises. *The number of Tombstones within the line of vision will equal the amount of Hitodama that will appear on the screen at a time. (25 Tombstones = 25 Hitodama.) *In a similar fashion to the electric eel, Hitodama will set the player on fire when touched by a close-range weapon. *Hitodama can pass through walls, but will not enter water (for obvious reasons). *Hitodama can emit light. *(Left) Normal Fire version. (Right) Blue flame version. Sorta like Jellyfish, but both colors have a 50/50 chance of appearing. Blood Eye Type: Undead / Flying Environment: Surface (Blood Moon Only) Max Life: 100 Damage: 22 Defense: 4 Speed: Fast Drops: Monocle (Always) *A special Demon Eye found occasionally on a Blood Moon. Like the other special mobs, it has considerably higher health points than its original incarnation. *The Blood Eye references real-life bloodshot eyes. *A red trail effect follows the Blood Eye. Frog & Frog Prince Type: Amphibian Environment: Surface Water (Excluding Ocean) Max Life: 5 Damage: N/A Defense: 0 Speed: Average Drops: Frog Legs (Always), Jar of Warts (Uncommon), Crown (Frog Prince Only / Always) *Frogs function like bunnies, completely harmless (and easily mauled by passing monsters). *Frogs can jump fairly high. *The Frog Prince rarely appears, and is a reference to the actual story, the Frog Prince. Turtle Type: Reptile Environment: Surface Water (Excluding Ocean) Max Life: 5 Damage: N/A Defense: 5 Speed: Slow Drops: Turtle Shell (1:1) *Another Bunny-esque mob. Unlike the easily killed furballs, Turtles don't technically "die". When all their health points go to 0, they retreat into their shell. If not picked up as an item, the turtle will pop back out momentarily. Dropping the item will allow the turtle to pop back out again. *Turtles have a very small jump height. Depite this, they can swim well in bodies of water. Boar & Corrupt Boar Type: Pig Environment: Surface Jungle (?) (Night Only) Max Life: 65 / 80 Damage: 28 / 35 Defense: 2 / 4 Speed: Average Drops: Cured Meat (1:1), Battering Ram (?) (1:75, Corrupt Boar Only) *Boars are unique in the fact that if there is a mushroom along their path, they will consume it. Not that it matters much for the player as they run away from a bunny-mauling monstrocity. *Blood Moons (Or Vile Powder) cause all boars on the map to transform into Corrupt Boars, a deadlier variant of the boar. *Corrupt boars have the ability to smash doors open (Like zombies.) Squid Type: Fish Environment: Ocean Max Life: 40 Damage: N/A Defense: 5 Speed: Fast Drops: Tentacle (1:1), Black Dye (Rare) *A peaceful, yet cowardly creature, the squid will flee with an inky jet of blackness when approached by the player. *The ink expelled by the squid will block vision for a certain amount of time, before fading. *Example image of squid fleeing: Thunderball Type: Flying Environment: Floating Islands, Sky (+350, +600, or +850 ft, depending on the world size) Max Life: 80 Damage: 20 Defense: 1 Speed: Fast Drops: Lightning in a Bottle (1:1) *A dangerous enemy found at high altitudes. Like the Electric Eel down below, contact with a Thunderball will cause shock damage. *These monsters spawn more often during rain showers and thunderstorms. Mini-Golem Type: Golem Environment: (?) Max Life: 100 Damage: 25 Defense: 20 Speed: Slow Drops: (?) *A mysterious monster resembling animated rocks. *If there are rocks visible on-screen, they may turn into Mini-Golems upon venturing closer. *Apart from being slow, these monsters also have a low jump compared to other ground-bound monsters. However, in exchange for slow movements are high attack power and little to no knockback. Take caution when battling these monsters. *Left Texture: Rocky coloring. Right Texture: Actual coloring. Sentinel Type: Golem / Flying Environment: (?) Max Life: 85 Damage: 18 Defense: 15 Speed: Slow Drops: (?) *These flying rocks guard the biome where they reside. *As with the other golem before it, these ones are very resiliant against knockback. *When it targets the player, it will shoot out a laser projectile similar to a Space Gun's. This projectile cannot be blocked unlike other types of fired attacks. These Sentinels have a 5 second delay to fire again, allowing the player to retaliate immediately afterwards. *Left Texture: Rocky coloring. Right Texture: Actual coloring. Spider Type: Insects / Environment: Underground / Cavern Layer (Cobwebs) Max Life: 2 Damage: 1 Defense: 0 Speed: Average Drops: (?) *These little buggers are always normally accompanied by their big brother, the Big Spider. Unlike their larger counterparts, they lack the ability to drop down, instead, moving Worm AI style on cobwebs. If the cobweb it crawls on is destroyed, it will plummet and die upon impact with the ground. Additionally, while these small creatures don't do much damage (like the Rats), they do fill their own niche: Blocking the player from attack their big bro. Big Spider Type: Hanger* / Insect Environment: Underground / Cavern Layer (Next to big clumps of cobwebs) Max Life: 70 Damage: 20 Defense: 8 Speed: Average Drops: (?) *Hanger AI involves the monster hanging from a ceiling and dropping at a fast speed when the player walks below them, dealing damage from above. Afterward, the monster slowly scales back up after a few seconds. As long as a player doesn't walk under the target, he or she can take out the hanging foe easily. *In this case, Big Spiders follow this AI. However if hit, they will rock back and forth from their perch, making it harder to hit one (Think Skulltulas from the Zelda Series). Familiar Foe Type: Undead Environment: Overworld (Night) Max Life: 10 Damage: 250 Defense: 5 Speed: Average Drops: Dynamite (1:1) (1) *Hmm...I can't put my finger on it, but have we met before? (It's a cameo/easter egg stupid.) *This mysterious green creature has the ability to explode if close enough. It will indicate detonation by flashing a white color with a 's' sound following immediately after. However, this explosion will NOT blow up blocks or any other structures. Think of it as dynamite with a radius of a bomb's. *These monsters have an extremely low spawn rate (1:1000) and only spawn alone. Bosses The Rukh (Roc) Message: "A giant shadow looms over the desert..." Type: Boss Environment: Desert Max Life: 8000 Damage: 30 (Normal Attack) - 45 (Special Attack) Defense: 20 Speed: Average Drops: Wicked Whirlwind (1:2) (1), Rukh Feather (1:1) (35-60), Snake Skin (1:2) (15-20) *The Rukh is truly the force of legends, and should be only attacked when fully prepared. To summon said foul beast, one must build a nest out of Hay Blocks in the Desert Biome. Next, place a Weather Vane of any variety in the middle of the nest. After a Sandstorm, a Giant Egg will spawn in the nest, replacing said Weather Vane. Smashing the egg with The Breaker or any higher tiered hammer will summon The Rukh on the spot. Note: The Rukh can be summoned during any time of the day. *This boss is akin to EoC, as they both are flying bosses. However, The Rukh uses the same AI as a Bat's in terms of flight. Also to note The Rukh is constantly airborn. *During Phase 1, The Rukh attack pattern involves: -Slamming its talons into your face! -Special Attack: Fires a volley of three small tornadoes at your position. The Rukh pauses during this move and aims at the spot the player is standing at. The player must move from their position to avoid getting hit by this attack. If hit by a tornado, the player is knocked back a lengthy distance in the direction the tornado was moving (EX: Tornado hits to the right, player is pushed to the right). This attack is dangerous as the player can fall into a chasm in the process. If the player attacks the projectile, the tornado's attack will be canceled. During Phase 2 (1/2-health), the Rukh retains both its forms of attacks. However, if not occuring already, a sandstorm will kick in. In addition to this, its tornado attack goes up from three to five tornadoes and The Rukh's speed will pick up. The Rukh will screech to indicate the transition to it's second phase. *Once defeated, any occuring sandstorm will subside and the Rukh will drop its loot. *The first nest and Weather Vane placed will serve as the spawning point for all Rukh battles. Any other nests and placements will be ignored. This is nulified if the original nest is destroyed. *Placing a Weather Vane on the nest when the battle with The Rukh is in progress will result in an insta-death. *Like other bosses, The Rukh will flee if the player is killed. *Image of Mini Tornado: Rainbow Slime Message: "SPLAT." Type: Mini-Boss Environment: Overworld, Floating Islands (?) Max Life: 1000 Damage: 30 Defense: 5 Speed: Average Drops: Gel (1:1) (20-30), Feather (1:1) (5-10), (?) *Disclaimer: THIS WAS MADE BEFORE KING SLIME WAS RELEASED. Knowing this, I decided to tweak it a bit to fit its own niche. Also I don't mind if this wasn't implemented due to there already being a slime boss so to speak. You can see the original thread for this mini-boss in my signature. *Original sprite by A Flying Knight, tweaked a bit by me: [link] *Like King Slime, Rainbow Slime attacks in a similar pattern. Unlike King Slime however, it is more "flighty", meaning Rainbow Slime has a higher jump than his majesty. In addition to having a higher jump, Rainbow Slime can "flutter" about to attempt to land on the player. Rainbow Slime will spawn 5 slimes (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple) during every 100 damage dealt to it battle. Also note that Rainbow Slime has half of King Slime's stats, making this battle possibly easier than the king. Think of their relationship like the Mario Brothers, Luigi being Rainbow Slime and Mario being King Slime. XD Armor Croc Hunter's Outfit Type: Vanity Defenses/Bonuses: N/A Recipe: Croc Hunter's Hat- Croc Skin (10) Croc Hunter's Vest- Croc Skin (15) Croc Hunter's Pants- Croc Skin (15) Sell Price: 80 Silver (Set) Source: Crafting. *Looks like slaughtering all those crocodiles paid off! (Ya crazy animal abuser.) *Based on Crocodile Dundee's outfit. Pirate Outfit Type: Vanity Defenses/Bonuses: N/A Recipe: N/A Sell Price: 40 Silver (Set) Source: Ocean (?) *YEARGH! Ye can't have ninjas without pirates, mate! It just ain't right! Turtle Shell Type: Chestplate / Weapon Defenses/Bonuses: 3 Defense, Movement speed lowered slightly. Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Turtles *Asides from making you like a hero in a half shell, the Turtle Shell is also throwable when not equipped. When chucked, it functions like a barrel would and slide in the direction thrown. A shell will break after colliding with a wall three times, dooming the turtle inside it. It is notable that a player will be hurt by the shell if it hits him or her while being thrown. *This throwable mechanic is yet another reference to the Mario series. *Example image of shell being equipped. Capes Type: Cape / Vanity Defenses/Bonuses: N/A Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: (?) *A Cape is a new armor slot that equips to the player's back. *Pick from 13 different colors! Wings of Icarus Type: Cape Defenses/Bonuses: Allows player to fly during the night time in the Overworld under 350 ft. Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Harpys (Very Rare) *To fly, one must coninuously press the jump button after jumping once. *Note, when wearing the Wings of Icarus, your drop speed is doubled. *During the daytime, you will be unable to use the wings to fly and if you are airborn when morning breaks, you will rapidly plummet to the ground. You cannot use any items during this free fall either. Just pray you'll land in water... *You cannot use the flying ability in the Underground Layers as well. *When flying/falling, an effect is displayed similar to Molten Armor that feathers drop from the wings, indicating its fragility. *You lose 3 mana per second when in flight. *Based on the tale of Icarus and Daedalus. Wings of Lucifer Type: Cape Defenses/Bonuses: Allows player to fly in the Underworld. Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Underworld (?) *Proceed with caution when exiting the Underworld, as these wings will lock when reaching the borderline of the Cavern Layer. *Wings of Lucifer have the Shadow Armor effect when equiped. *Based on Lucifer, the Fallen Angel. *You lose 3 mana per second when in flight. Angelic Wings Type: Cape Defenses/Bonuses: Allows player to fly above 500 ft. (Or topmost parts of the map.) Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Floating Islands (Very Rare. Think along the lines of Sunfury rare but further.) *If a player dips below 500 ft., they will plummet with the ability to fly locked. However, unlike the Wings of Icarus, the player's drop speed is reduced instead of doubled. To add to this, Angelic Wings can be flown 24/7 so long as the player is above 500 ft. *Like the Wings of Icarus, this won't work Underground. *You lose 3 mana per second when in flight. *Instead of a feathery effect, Angelic Wings emit a small amount of light. Chaos Wings Type: Cape Defenses/Bonuses: Grants flight to the player when in the Underworld or Overworld. Recipe: Wings of Lucifer (1) + Angelic Wings (1). (Demon Altar) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting. *You darn balanced out good and evil there son. Source: Chests *New Weapon Class that attacks similarily to a shortsword and a boomerang! Left-clicking will make the player attack with their ring blade horizontally in a full 360-spin, effectively covering both the player's front and blind spots. Right-clicking will make the player throw the ring blade as if it were a boomerang. *Shame your enemies with this adorable red hula hoop...this is a joke, right? *Inspired by the ring blade weapons from Soul Calibur. *Demonstration of using the 360-spin attack: Circular Sword Type: Ring Blade Damage: 18 Speed: Fast Max Stack: 1 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Ring of Destruction Type: Ring Blade Damage: 15 Speed: Fast Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Hula Hoop (1) + Demonite Bars (10) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *Intimidating name, yet the first upgrade to the Hula Hoop you'll get. Still looks awesome with those spikes. Ring of Fire Type: Ring Blade Damage: 34 Speed: Fast Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Hula Hoop (1) + Flamarang (1) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *Blazing power is emitted from the strongest of the ring blades! *Although not too much is known yet about the On Fire! status effect, this weapon will be able to be able to inflict that effect occassionally. *Light is produced as with other Molten equipment. *This name refers to the real-life area called the Pacific Ring of Fire, a place where volcano eruptions and earthquakes occur in large numbers. Phalanx Spear Type: Spear Damage: 25 Speed: Very Slow Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Craft with Spear + (?). Sell Price: (?) Source: Gold Chests (?) *Strongest usable spear and has the farthest reach. Lightning Rod Type: Spear Damage: 22 Speed: Very Slow Max Stack: 1 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: (?) *Extra side effect is the ability to shock your targets (50/50 chance). Very useful when needing an escape. *However, there are also bad side effects. You will take more damage from enemies that use electricity based attacks when using this. *You will also be prone to weather effects (AKA LIghtning) more often when wielding this weapon. *Wearing the Rubber Boots protect you from this though! Battering Ram Type: Spear Damage: 30 Speed: Very Slow Max Stack: 1 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: Corrupt Boars, Goblin Army (?) *Unlike other spears and weapons in general, the Battering Ram can smash open doors by attacking! Now you can crash parties in style! *Heavy knockback, slow wind up. *Why the Battering Ram is dropped from corrupt boars is beyond me... Katana Type: Sword Damage: 15 Speed: Very Fast Max Stack: 1 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: (?) *Think of this as a lesser version of the Muramasa. It has the same speed and continous swing as its blue brother, yet is weaker by 3 points. What uses will it have being inferior? Stay tuned. Dual Phaseblades Type: Sword Damage: 21 Speed: Fast Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Phaseblade (Any color) (2) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *A pretty straight forward idea. It sports the same attack speed and damage as a normal phaseblade, but with a twist. Clicking and holding the mouse button immediately after swinging the dual phaseblade will initiate a second attack. This second attack involves spinning the dual phaseblade in a full 360 degree spin vertically. This covers both sides of the player and is good at walling enemies. However, the blade will only spin twice before stopping, to prevent being spammed. Rapier Type: Fast Damage: 16 Speed: Average Max Stack: 1 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Ocean (?) *Equivalent in strength to the Light's Bane, yet plays a different fighting style. Instead of slashing like all other broadswords, the Rapier attacks similarily to a spear/shortsword. The Rapier is reliant on the direction the cursor is clicking to attack. Epee Type: Sword Damage: 20 Speed: Fast Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Rapier (1) + Silver Bars (10) (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *An upgrade to the Rapier with the same abilities. Throwable Hammer Type: Nonexplosive Consumable Damage: 25 Speed: Fast Max Stack: 99 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Gold Chests, Hammerhead Sharks *When thrown, it flys in an arch. So unlike the other throwable weapons, this one is in a fixed postion. *Can be recovered. *Will not go through walls. *Those who are familiar with the Plumber's Clothes will get this reference. Spiky Throwable Hammer Type: Nonexplosive Consumable Damage: 30 Speed: Average Max Stack: 99 Recipe: Throwable Hammer (5), Spike (1) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *Just when you thought these were dangerous, now you attach spikes to them! The horror! *Something to note is the decrease in speed in throwing these hammers. This is the price to pay when exchanging speed for power. (And because safety comes first to throwing spiked hammers!) *Will not go through walls. *Like all other nonexplosive consumables, this is available for recovery. Tomahawk Type: Nonexplosive Consumable / Axe Damage: 15 Speed: Average Max Stack: 99 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: (?) *As with being able to cut through multiple enemies, this weapon also functions as a fast tree cutter. By throwing 15 tomahawks, you can cut down a tree or a forest in seconds! *Left-clicking will make you throw this, damaging enemies normally. Right-clicking will also damage enemies, but the axes will be able to cut trees. That way, you'll have an option for not having to cut trees down if using this weapon. *Cannot pierce through enemies (Hits only 1 monster per axe.) *Recoverable. Smoke Grenade Type: Nonexplosive Consumable Damage: N/A Speed: Average Max Stack: 99 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: 1 Silver. Source: Demolitionist for 5 Silver. *Instead of dealing damage, the smoke grenade's speciality is blocking vision in a similar fashion to a squid's ink spray. *While not effective in single player, this is handy for disorienting players in multiplayer or making a ninja-esque escape. *Example image of a smoke grenade going off: Ember Powder Type: Nonexplosive Consumable Damage: 15 Speed: Very Fast Max Stack: 99 Recipe: Demon's Tooth Sell Price: 45 Copper Source: Crafting *A more powerful variant of Vile Powder straight outta Hell. Along with the damage, it will burn the target. *Also emits light when thrown. *As with Vile Powder, 1 Demon's Tooth yields 5 powder bags. Medic Gun Type: Gun Damage: -- Speed: Slow Max Stack: 1 Recipe: First-Aid Kit (1) + Illegal Gun Parts (1) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *A medic gun eh? Sounds like the Arms Dealer and the Nurse had a little affair...*brick'd* *This gun is unique in the fact that it doesn't deal damage (normally). It uses Needles as ammunition to perform various tasks such as healing. *Note: Needles don't fire like bullets. Think of the Medic Gun as a sword, needing to make contact with the target in order to affect it. *Note: Cannot be used on yourself. *This can be used on NPCs and flourishes well in multiplayer servers during PvP battles. Needles Type: Bullet Damage: -- Speed: Slow Max Stack: 250 (Each) Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Nurse (Sold for 12 Copper each when with a Medic Gun in your inventory) *The Types of Needles displayed as followed: Medical Needle-Heals 60 HP. Magical Needle-Recovers 60 Mana. (Effect doesn't stack) Toxic Needle-Inflicts poisoning status on target. *Like arrows, whatever is placed first is used first. Don't poison your allies! *These effects are comboed well with the First-Aid Kit equipped. *Each needle has a cool down timer like normal potions, but the wait time is lesser than that of the potions. *Only the poison needle can damage monsters. Other needles won't have an effect on them. Cannonball Type: Bullet Damage: -- Speed: -- Max Stack: 15 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Multiple punches can be executed at once, depending on the knuckles used. *Comes in red and blue colors. Wicked Whirlwind Type: Magic Damage: 25 Speed: Average Max Stack: 1 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: The Rukh *Possible placeholder image until I find a better design for this weapon. *The ability to whip up tornadoes is now in your hands! When used, a tornado is launched and will continue to fly until it hits an enemy or wall. Items caught up by the whirlwind will be picked up and brought wherever the wind brings it. If the whirlwind goes off screen with the items upwards, the items will fall back down in a few seconds. Downwards will have the items at the bottom of the area the whirlwind brings it. *Mana usage: 30 *Image of projectile: Accessories Phoenix Feather Max Stack: 10 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: Fire Birds *Phoenix Feathers revive the holder once from death (same stats as respawning from a normal death (50 HP)) on the spot you died at, then disappear from your accesories slot. *If you die while holding the feather, your items won't be dropped as you are revived immediately afterward. *Dying in lava then reviving will spawn you in the lava pool you died in. How unfortunate for you... *After a Phoenix Feather expires in your Accessory Slot, you cannot use another one for 3 Terraria Days. Rubber Boots Max Stack: 1 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: 1 Gold, 50 Silver Source: Electric Eels *Protects you from any form of electricity! (You still take normal damage though.) Cleats Max Stack: 1 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: (?) Source: (?) *If a player jumps on an enemy with these equipped, they will take 5 damage+knockback! *These are comboed excellently with a Cloud in a Bottle as you get to double jump off an enemy! Handy for taking an extra leap or just to pounce again on another (or the same) enemy! *Note: You will not take damage from your target during the "landing" phase of your jump. Jumping on cacti and other spiked objects will still deal damage to you. *Note 2: After jumping on an enemy, you will drop down to the ground. You may take damage if the enemy mob wasn't knocked too far. Iron Cleats Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Cleats (1) + Iron Bars (6) + Spikes (4) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting. *The goomba stompin' action is still retained from its fellow shoe, but with 5 more additional damage (10 damage+knockback). Old Boot Max Stack: 1 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: 15 Copper Source: Ocean (?) *AH SICK! ...well, you're doing your part for the environment by picking that up, I'll give you that. *This accessory is useless. Source: Frogs & Frog Prince *Like the Goldfish item, this doesn't start any cooldown when consumed. You will however be prone to being afflicted by the Gluttony Debuff. Ribbit Potion Type: Potion Max Stack: 30 Recipe: Jar of Warts (1) + Frog Legs (1) + Jungle Rose (1) + Waterleaf (1) Sell Price: (?) However, whatever was worn on your helmet slot is still visible. *If one dies while in frog form, they will revert back to a human when respawned. *The Dryad can change you back into a human if talken to. *Also is cancelable like buff. *The bottle of this potion slightly resembles a frog's head. Meaty Chunk Type: Edible / Potion Max Stack: 99 Recipe: Rotten Chunk (4) + Purification Powder (1) Sell Price: (?) Duration: N/A Tooltip: Still looks tasty! Heals 40 HP. Consuming this also has a chance of being affected by the Gluttony Debuff. *This is useable as a decoration as well. Furniture Crate Type: Miscellaneous Max Stack: 99 Recipe: Wood (15) (Sawmill) Sell Price: 1 Silver Source: Crafting *Great for decor. Giant Clam Type: Storage Max Stack: 99 Recipe: N/A Sell Price: 15 Silver Source: Ocean *Occasionally, one can find a giant clam in the Ocean Biome. *Players can store ONLY gems and sand in a clam for storage. *A giant clam will always have 1 pearl or some sand when found naturally. Very rarely, a player can find a big pearl inside a giant clam, yielding a pretty high amount of coinage. *By storing at least 10 sand blocks inside a giant clam, a player can expect 1 pearl to take their place in 1 Terraria week. Note: The sand cannot be taken out or moved or the day count will reset. *A giant clam must also be submerged in water for this to work. *Using this farming method, one has a slim chance of finding a big pearl within said clam. *A giant clam has 10 inventory slots in comparison to the chest's 20. Cannon Type: Miscellaneous / Weapon Max Stack: 1 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *Mount these on your castles for the ultimate monster repeller! *To fire, a Cannon Crate must be placed next to the cannon and also must be wielding a torch. *Right-clicking the cannon will have the player grab hold of it, but he or she will be unable to move unless the cannon is right-clicked again. While "equipped" with the cannon, the mouse's cursor will determine where the cannon will fire. Left-clicking in the direction chosen will cause the cannon to fire, while consuming one of the player's torches. The fired cannonball will deal up to 100 damage if the target is hit. This however, will not break blocks and will need to be recovered in order to use again (There is a chance that the cannonball will break and be unavailable for use, like arrows). A cannon can only aim 90 degrees in the direction its facing. The cannon will be unable to fire once the cannon crate's supplies run out or if the player runs out of usable torches. In addition to these specifications, the cannon has a 5 second delay before being able to fire again. *This makes for fun castle invasion-styled battles in multiplayer servers. Cannon Crate Type: Miscellaneous Max Stack: 1 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *Required for a cannon to fire. Stores up to 15 cannonballs at a time. Anchor Type: Miscellaneous Max Stack: 1 Recipe: (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: Ocean *A ship ain't complete without this! Placeable as a wall decoration or on the floor. Suits of Armor Type: Miscellaneous Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Wood (20) + Obsidian (5) + Full Set of Armor (Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold) + Broad Sword from set Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *For those with extra armor, this makes a great vanity item. *Can be turned back into actual armor by returning to crafting table. (Wood and Obsidian will be reobtained as well.) Weather Vanes Type: Miscellaneous / Boss Material Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Bars (Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold) (4) + Arrow (1) + Feather (5) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting *This object will spin in correlation to the weather going on where its placed. *These movements include: -Normal Weather: Barely spins. -Sandstorm: Spins rapidly. -Thunderstorm: Spins rapidly. *These objects are highly conductable, so if struck by lightning it will be destroyed. *More weather effects to come! Stained Glass Window Type: Window Max Stack: 1 Recipe: Glass (?) + (?) Sell Price: (?) Source: Crafting, Floating Islands, Dungeon Entrance (?) *These function similarily to the upcoming windows Tiy has planned. As with normal glass, these are (semi-)transparent and you can see the sun rise or set (vaguely). *Light is emitted downward, a unique lighting mechanic for the Stained Glass Window. *Great for making cathedrals and churches. Blocks & Environment Hay Block Max Stack: 250 Sell Price: (?) Environment: (?) *Howdy pardner. These make great nesting material for certain birds, I reckon. Quicksand Block Max Stack: 250 Sell Price: (?) Environment: Desert *A simple edit of sand, yet still as overpowered. *With this almost undistinguishable characteristic from sand, a player can easily fall into this trap without notice. This makes this natural trap more dangerous during a sandstorm. *If the player attempts to walk on quicksand, their speed is reduced to that of falling in cobwebs. The player will also slowly sink at the same rate as cobwebs. If the player's entire body sinks below the quicksand, they will start to take damage as if being hit by sand. If killed, the items dropped will still be reobtainable, but at the bottom of the pit. *To manuever through quicksand, player's must press the jump key continously in a similar fashion to swimming with flippers to stay above the surface. Although the process is more slower, it will keep you alive. Using a grappling hook to manuever is normally the better option. *Monsters will also suffer the same fate as a player's when entering a quicksand pit. *Example image of a quicksand pit: Giant Nest Max Stack: N/A Sell Price: N/A Environment: Desert *Created by placing ten hay blocks in this formation. Used for summoning The Rukh. Giant Egg+Nest Max Stack: N/A Sell Price: N/A Environment: Desert *Once conditions are met, this will be spawned on the nest. Breaking this with a Demonite-tier or higher hammer will summon The Rukh.~ Sea Mines Max Stack: N/A Sell Price: N/A Environment: Ocean *Think of these as super-sized sticks of dynamite, only the same range as one. *These are found submerged further out in the Ocean Biome, rarely seen within eye vision. *If anything makes contact with the mine segment, it goes KA-BLOOEY! Players, other sea mines, sand, ANYTHING (save for monsters) will set it off. In this case, try to avoid any close contact with any of these. *The chains connect sea mines to the ocean floor. If cut (must be an Iron weapon or higher to cut.), the mine floats to the water's surface and explodes. *If a monster is swimming above it when cut, it will explode when in contact with the monster rather than float all the way to the surface. Basically, monsters only trigger sea mine explosions when cut from their chains. *The "rustier-looking" variant is for aesthetic purposes. All non-rusty sea mines change into the rusty version when 3 Terraria days have passed. *Rumor has it that the Arms Dealer sells miniature versions of these mines when a certain condtion is met... Cattle Skull Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: (?) Environment: Desert *These skulls spawn at random in deserts rarely. *Not much else to say other than for aesthetic reasons. Tumbleweed Max Stack: N/A Sell Price: N/A Environment: Desert *Occasionally, these balls of vegetation do cartwheels through the screen, blowing in one direction until out of sight. *Tumbleweeds will hug a wall and make its way upward if there is a wall blocking its path. *When attacked, it yields 1 hay block. *A tumbleweed will vanish if it leaves the vicinity of the Desert Biome. Rocks Max Stack: N/A Sell Price: N/A Environment: Underground (Common), Overworld (Uncommon) *IT'S SO STUPIDLY SIMPLE YET NO ONE THOUGHT OF THIS. Community, I am disappoint. *These are pre-generated when a map is made. Smashing it with a hammer or pickaxe will destroy it. *Silly Dragonith, what are you planning to do with these? Marble Pillar Block Max Stack: 250 Sell Price: (?) Environment: (?) *Great blocks for mimicing ancient structures of old. *Natural pillars can have broken tops. Breaking the top will yield nothing, other than fixing the appearance of it. Marble Block Max Stack: 250 Sell Price: (?) Environment: (?) *The non-pillar version of the Marble Block. Also great for making ancient structures. Crumbling Block Max Stack: 250 Sell Price: (?) Environment: (?) *These exist in the same biome as the Marble Blocks, and are the natural death pits of that biome. When stepped on, if there are no blocks (besides water) below it, it will collapse and drop to the floor, dealing fall damage before breaking into nothingness upon impact. Stepping on these blocks when using a Gravitation Potion will send the blocks skyward until it hits a ceiling or the map's boundaries, also shattering upon impact. *This can be a useful block for pit traps and other mechanisms. Miscellaneous Demon's Tooth Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: 20 Copper Source: Underworld *Demon's Tooth grow on Ash Blocks in the Underworld. Like Fireblossom, it can be farmed. *Associated with the crafting of Ember Powder. *Variant color (right) for a more "hell-ish" appearance. Either color is fine by me. *Based on the Hydnellum peckii, a mushroom that looks like it's bleeding. Croc Skin Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: 20 Copper Source: Crocodiles *Associated with the crafting of the Croc Hunter Outfit. *Color 1 (Left) is the accurate coloring and is also my favorite outta the two. Color 2 (Right) is the greener depiction of a crocodile. Scorpion Stinger Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: (?) Source: Giant Scorpions *Now what do you suppose this does? (Aside from leaking scorpion blood...) Lightning in a Bottle Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: 50 Silver Source: Thunderballs *Associated with the crafting of Electro Whips and other electrical weapons. *Using said bottle will shock the player for 50 damage, regardless of armor. Joy Buzzer Max Stack: 1 Sell Price: 20 Copper Source: (?) *A gag item like the Whoopee Cushion. Use it to zap NPCs and your friends! *Note: Does not do damage and will not hurt enemies. Jar of Warts Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: (?) Source: Frogs & Frog Prince *Bleck. *Associated with the crafting of Ribbit Potions. Pearl & Big Pearl Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: 50 Silver / 1 Gold Source: Giant Clams, Underwater Chests. *Ooh, shiny shiny! (These count as gems) Rukh Feather Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: (?) Source: The Rukh *Associated with the crafting of ???? Armor. Snake Skin Max Stack: 99 Sell Price: (?) Source: The Rukh, Serpents, Lizard Man, Cockatrice *Thisssss issss interessssting. Snake Statue Max Stack: 1 Sell Price: (?) Source: (?) *Thissss issss alsssso interessssting. Demon Statue Max Stack: 1 Sell Price: 1 Copper Source: Underworld Chests *Kinda feel off with this, seeing as this is just a parallel to the Angel Statue. OR IS IT? *As with its holy counterpart, it does nothing. Maybe. Events & Weather Sandstorm Message: "A sandstorm is brewing!" Rarity of Occurence: 25% per day/night Environment: Desert Effect: Blurs vision dramatically. Enemies are more camouflaged into the background. Aesthetic Changes *Make Lava Slimes and Hell Bats more "hellish" in appearance. *I know I'm not the only one who hates the tiny flying rats. Though, why not have some of these bats hanging upside down when they spawn? This is similar to Vultures roosting before taking off to kill you. Bats would be hanging on the ceiling of the tunnel they'd be found in, with the exception of Surface Jungle Bats. These bats can be found hanging from trees instead of a ceiling. In addition to this, Surface Jungle Bats can be found hanging more often during the daytime, due to bats being nocturnal animals. Like I said, only SOME bats would be found hanging. There is still the chance of them spawning while flying. And while still on this topic, perhaps bats can have their eyes glow while it is dark? Shock Debuff Duration: 3-5 seconds *When a player is shocked, they will be immobile while being zapped in a comical fashion, in addition to some minor damage (4 damage per second / no regeneration). If in water when this occurs, the player will take more damage (6 damage) as well as temporarily electrify the water (2-3 seconds). This will cause some monsters to take minor damage, similar to the player's. Petrified Debuff Duration: -- seconds *Certain mobs have the ability to turn the player to stone, as demonstrated here. The player will be unable to move and will drop WAY faster than the usual drop speed. Players will also sink quickly underwater. You will still lose breath while underwater, but you won't take any knockback (Still prone to damage). To escape out of this state, simultaneously pressing the movement keys or mouse clicking will break you out. Duration lasts forever until freed via controls. Gluttony Debuff Duration: 60 seconds *Similar to Potion Sickness in effect, though only occurs after consuming a certain amount of food. Being in this state also slightly slows the player down in speed and jump. Frozen Debuff Duration: 10 seconds *(State example coming soon!) Being frozen functions similarily to getting petrified: You can't move and fall to the ground if airborn. Though, getting out is differentiated more clearly. When frozen, one can thaw out by waving a torch held in your inventory or using a fire-based weapon/tool like the Molten Equipment. Also wearing Molten Armor (or any other future fire-based armor) will prevent being frozen. To add on, freezing in water will make you float, not sink, preventing you from drowning while in this state.
