Steam updates games automatically from any version!

Well, a friend gave me my game and I'm not sure if its from Steam.

If you didn't download it from Steam you most likely didn't buy the game. You won't get any support on this forum (it's the official forum and redistribution of pirated versions is against the rules), so I'd ask your friend or try some other forum/website.

Is there ever going to be a patch to enable the use of mouses with more than 3 buttons? I use mouse5 as jump in every single game I play, and in terraria, I can't, making it a lot harder to jump, since I usually do most of my actions with the mouse.

Given the lack of any real announcements, I'd be surprised if the game ever gets updated again, actually.
Not that I'm complaining too loudly here; it was pretty damn good for 15 bucks.
