According to the wiki, carrots are used to summon a pet bunny only for owners of the collector's edition of Terraria. (Now here's an interesting quandry: is it alright for Terraria mods to unlock use of this bunny summon for non-collectors? If I'd bought the collector's edition I wouldn't use it but still, are there any...qualms about it? Or is it fair game?)
These words exactly. I would be glad to make a free, complete translation for this game. With or without credit. Just because we need more players.
I'm loving extra language support... this really opens doors for players across the globe. This is FANTASTIC news, and even though I only speak the one language, this was a much needed feature that I am very very happy to see, and I'm sure more languages are on the way! I'm a little less happy about the carrot. It's a little upsetting that only collection edition players can get it, and even if somebody gave me one, I wouldn't be able to use it because I've got an older copy, at least according to the information on the wiki. Early Adopters kind of get the short stick and some of the people who've been begging for a "pet" in game are the ones who've been playing it since the bunnies were first introduced. If they're going to have a special feature like that, so should every version of the game.
Put that way, my quandry about mods somehow unlocking the bunny summon for non-collectors suddenly seems less...quandry-ish? Although I've gotta say, some of the progress in on-going mods is pretty impressive. Some of them might even have pet summons or something like that, who knows?
Realized I never said thanks. So: thanks! I've gotta say, I'm more happy about the fact Redigit is still alive more than anything else. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but the sudden silence following the Christmas update was worrying (although once you put it into perspective it wasn't that long of a wait really).
Yep, I knew. I was one of the people nagging one of the testers to tell Redigit to fix it. Glad it's fixed now. That chest duplication bug is one of the bugs I wanted fixed also, though.
I think for those of us who've had the game since release or very near to it, it's unfair that there's special treatment being displayed. I'm not saying Early Adopters should get things that other players don't, I'm saying that collectors edition owners shouldn't be getting special treatment where nobody else is, which is especially insulting to Early Adopters. I don't even want a rabbit. I just want everyone who wants one to be able to get one. So this is one of those situations where I fully endorse a mod. I guess a slime pet summon if you're at EA status (May and June?), collectors can keep their bunnies. Birds for everyone else. Room for improvement of course.
No, no, I was replying to the person who was, I dunno, lamenting the use of TerrariaViewer for anything other than building projects.
I'm not partial to pet summons (if they're bunnies, that is) but I agree. EDIT: Scratch that. Pedguin's clip shows just how dedicated the pet bunny is and I now want one. Very much. plox?
