More Terraria for more people is never a bad thing in my book...good stuff!
Now I'm wondering if its possible to import saves from the PC version
Don't hold your breath, the PC version is still leaps and bounds ahead of the console version
next time wii U support?
(or....probably not because references, plumber/hero clothes)
That's nice, but why not Wii U? Would work way better for Wii U since it has a touchpad controller, which could be used for precision mining and building...
It really bugs me when people say "We've got xxx game on all next-gen consoles now" when they've clearly bailed out on at least one.
That would be better, because the clothing can be the normal colors.
I planted of seed of speculation in the other E3 thread, and now it has blossomed. Mwahaha
Seriously though, this is awesome news. Now we just need to know:
- Release dates
- Can we import saves?
- Will there be discounts for those that have it on previous platforms?
- Will part of the added functionality include new resolutions and the extra 10 slots for inventory?
Hopefully E3 will have some answers.
I am still patiently waiting for Wii U support (I don't have either a PS4 or an Xbone, just a wii u).
Everything has been leaving Wii U behind lately. MC, Watch_Dogs, and this too. I think it's one of, if not the best next-gen consoles and it'd likely be a perfect fit for Terraria - touch screen controls, for one, which no other console has to offer.
I agree to the Wii U and I dont even have one or will I buy it after the MH3 and MH3U bull that went down. Shame, big shame what went down.
While I am pretty excited to see Terraria coming to next gen, I don't know if I like the thought of buying the same game for a third time. Got it on PC around when it was first released. Bought it on 360 the first day. And I don't know if I'm going to put out another $15-20 for a third copy for my PS4. If there is some way we can prove that we bought it previously and get a free copy for the next gen, that'd be great. But that's probably just a fantasy at this point.
Nice!! XBOX ONE FTW!
We do not have any plans to bring Terraria to Wii U and it is not in development. Sorry. While the control mechanism may be nicely translated (agreed on that end), there are other factors at play that prevent it from happening and we don't expect that to change any time soon unfortunately.
This is the nature of the development of this game. Relogic makes the game on PC, we wait for them to finish the content, they send us the content, and we port it over. Therefore, console versions will always be slightly behind the PC version with nearly impossible live parity.
This is awesome, I just hope you guys get better at graphics :3 (no harm meant)
Oh, I figured it wouldn't be brought to Wii U because of Red's problem with them during the days of SMBX. It is nice to see more Terraria coming to other things though!
3DS would possibly be better, due to the easy to set up multiplayer, potential face cams, and online connectivity at any WiFi point. 3DS also is portable, has a better battery life, is owned by more people and costs less for both the console and game. The only problem with the 3DS would be the 3D itself. I guess any non-walls would pop out a bit.
I don't own an XBOX 1 or PS4, so I can't say I'm hyped, but this does pique my interest.
I know, I probably could have worded that slightly differently.
And everyone here is going to buy it. I really have to hand it to you 505. I don't like consoles. But you. Are fucking awesome. You will be able to mine this cult for 1000 years because you are awesome.
I'm not trolling you. You are an asset to big business.
I Thought PS vita was 8th gen?!?!? or mabye Ive been reading too much wikipedia. well time to get a PS4 for christmas for three upcoming games: MinecraftS4 edition, Kingdom hearts 3, and Terraria. now on my wish list!
I think it is great that you are bringing this to new consoles, but it is a real shame that there is an impasse between Nintendo and whomever. I see you guys are publishing other stuff on the platform, so I was hopeful to see this one day.
I will have to stick to pc for now I reckon.
