cant wait to try this when I get home. After playing a bit last night i feel a map would be a great help. It would be great if we could get a real time map to show how much we have actually excavated. I guess it would be possible to redump the map and see where you have dug?

Awesome. I was hoping someone would do this and it happened quite fast.

thankyou. but what is the purple bit?
and can it show where you are on the map???

Purple bit is the dungeon. Last time i checked when you save/reload a world you always end up back at spawn?

thanks. just theres no way of seeing where you are in relation to things on the wap. it would be good if it drew a line wherever you went (on the map viewer)

Hey guys, I know it's weird but after I used this suddenly my terraria is all laggy. I know it sounds ridiculous but it happened. Also, not trying to troll.

It is ridiculous. The tool does not modify your world file in anyway.

Very awesome, I'll now be traveling to my floating islands.

Where do you find the map file -_-

Its more ment to be just an information dump, allowing editing the values could possibly lead to some horrific consequences.

I am guessing your running Windows XP? Hopefully the next version will work better.

Also i am still looking for worlds, where people have used high end materials / all the fancy things so i can finally figure out some of the missing tile types.
