[WIP]Loophole (Part 2) [Adventure][Parkour]

    Welcome to the official WIP thread for the second installment to the Loophole series.

    I don't want to reveal too much information right now but I have some things that might get you interested in the next part.

    New updates vs. Part 1
    (Anything highlighted in blue is what I'm most excited about)

    - Custom Soundtrack

    - More score point areas
    - More Co-Op sections
    - More intense platforming
    - More traps and complex wiring
    - Better detailed landscapes/eye-candy
    - Much longer
    - Non-Linear gameplay (more on this later...)
    - Achievements (more on this later...)
    - Storyline is expanded immensely and is very exciting

    Details

    We added more score point areas and some that are extremely hard to find. This is so players can have a more diverse experience in the scoreboards instead of just "collect them all, we all have the same score." I can guarantee you will be spending a long time finding all of the score points.

    Co-Op sections are more abundant and far more superior then Part 1.

    The platforming just got much more intense. The backdrops and architecture is much more elaborate making platforming more then just a "go to this point, then this point, then this point." There is alternate routes.

    The landscapes and eye-candy in this map are gorgeous. I've spent tons of time on just certain areas to make sure they look exactly how I want it to look. There is never not enough eye-candy in this map.

    Things more elaborate and what I am most excited about

    Non-Linear gameplay.
    I've always said in any video game I've designed levels/maps for, linear gameplay is terrible. I hate playing a video game where it's telling me that I have to go in that direction. I want a choice on how to get to my goal. That is what I did with this map. Sometimes while you're playing the map you feel like, maybe I should have went the other way and it could've been easier then the route I took. I want you to feel that through the entire series. There is no wrong way, well...unless you die.

    Achievements
    I've added something new to community here and map designers. Something I believe is unique. I've added certain points on the map where you can get achievements (which is also in different currency). For example, you reach the highest point on the map, there will be a sign there saying that you have accomplished reaching the highest point on the map with currency for achievement points. This is different then score points. I've added something like this for people that LOVE achievements. I know I do and I would kill to be number one in score AND achievements. I gave you that opportunity here and I think it will work well.

    Storyline
    There is no introduction anymore, buddy. You're in the thick of things. Every step you make is dangerous and every sight you see is jaw dropping. It is time for you to finally get some answers. Prepare to witness some crazy sections, boss battles and other various storyline experiences.

    TMA Mod API with KMod and WorldEdit.

    This guide showed me how to do it.

    It took me a while to figure it out but now that it's in, it's exciting. It's hard to be immersed into a map with Terraria's default music on this type of map, so the music that I chose carefully for this part is amazing.

    Why is it that you wrote that impassable spots won't require you to restart the game, yet lower down it says you have to restart the map? Isn't that the same thing basically?

    What I mean by that is that there is impassable areas that can trap you but you won't have to restart the game. Like, you can kill yourself because there will be something to do that for you. Below, I mean that there's areas where you have a choice into locking yourself out of a situation. Like for example, if you knock down that sand, it'll land on the passage to a chest, which you will not be able to get to. But if you went down that passage first, you could get the chest.

    You know what I mean? It might be confusing.

    Anyways, overall the idea is still being thought over. I'm not sure if I want to add areas that force you to die (but most of them are obvious as to why you shouldn't go in there)

    Wow, that was really entertaining. xD

    Everyone has some pretty funny Let's Plays going of Part 1. Wait till you all try Part 2, it's intense... the map is completed right now actually, I'm just playtesting it and fixing up some kinks, then it'll be ready to go.
