[WIP T-CONFIG] New Terraria, Balanced Mod

    Hello Guys,
    I'm currently trying to make a mod that will mainly focus on balanced new stuff, I don't know much(nearly nothing) about game coding, but I can make some sprites, I can say that I will try to do my best. I will also use some items, NPC's and bosses that I consider balanced from other mods, of course with the respectively permission.

    Feel free to make any requests, and if you want to help I will appreciate A LOT!

    Hope the C# experts help me and I will release the mod soon ^^
    Day'n Night from obsidian mod is inside the mod, I will remove it on the next update, I put it in for testing purposes!)

    For now, I'm focused on make upgrades for the low tier armors, as well to Cobalt, Mithril and Adamantite, so Halloweed armor won't be the only endgame armor on Terraria.>>>Done

    Magic Blades (open)

    ABOUT MAGIC BLADES (open)

    Magic Blades are a new type of weapon I introduced in this mod. They have a special ability that can be activated while you hold the right mouse button and attack with left mouse button, the ability will not activate if you don't hit an enemy.
    Most of the Magic Blades will have a pre-hardmode version and a hardmode upgraded version and all of then have MAGIC DAMAGE instead of melee damage, meaning you can't benefit from melee attack speed bonus.

    Special Abilities (open)

    Energy Discharge=Use your mana to deal damage to the enemy, consumes some mana to deal a percentage of your current mana in damage, that means if you are low in mana your bonus damage will be low

    Sacrifice=Use your health to deal damage to the enemy, sacrifice some HP to deal a huge damage. You cannot kill yourself with this ability, but it is dangerous (and stupid =P)to use it when you're low. The bonus damage is also based on your current HP, So more HP=More damage.

    just saying this now... i LOVE armors, they are deffinatly my favorite thing in this game, and there are some gaps to fill. like the one between molten and cobalt. Keep em balanced though and this will easyily be a great mod

    Okay, so I've had a bit of time to try this stuff out, and here's my overview.
    +The hardmode armor is very nice, and a great way to make you think, "My old armor has to be useful." (Note; I used an inventory editor to try out the new armor and weapons.)
    +The best pre-hardmode armor has a reasonable drawback. It's not too overpowered, but it will not be completely useless.
    +Nice to see some of the more, "arbitrary" items get a good use.
    -Some of the crafting recipes seem either excessive or very weird. I mean, cursed flames and mud blocks for wild armor?
    -The two new explosives need to be either slowed or have some delay on them to keep them from blowing the person up when they accidentally aim one right at their feet.
    -The torches made with coal is a bit glitchy. They won't stack with normal torches until you place them then remove them.

    I will have to play it a bit more before I give more input.

    First of all, thanks for the feedback ^^
    About the Wild Armor recipe:
    I put mud blocks on recipe just to make it more "junglish", but I gotta admit it's weird =)
    and the cursed flame, I don't see anything wrong about it, it's magical so it can burst your magic power, right?

    About the explosives:
    I'm reducing the speed of the Tags and removing the piercing effect of it.
    And the Explosive mining Bomb is only a digging tool, you will not use it for fighting purposes, that's why I'm removing the damage on next update =)

    About the torches:
    I don't know how to put 2 recipes in 1 item so, yes the coal torches are actually a custom torch named "torch "(with a space in the end), but when you get then back they become the regular torch. Until I figure how to make 2 recipes in one item I will keep like that

    The bit on explosives and torches make sense, but I would more immediately associate cursed flames with their fire attribute. Since you already have mythril bars in the recipe, it would be safe to replace the flames with stars. Those are more accociated with magic than the flames are.
